About the Cesky Terrier The Cesky is a small terrier that originated in Czechoslovakia. Cesky is pronounced Chess-kee. This is a sweet and happy dog that is good with children. The Cesky is patient, brave, loyal and obedient plus courageous. They are intelligent and trainable. The Cesky loves people, especially children. This is a new breed first recognized by the FCI in 1963. They are a mixture of Sealyham Terriers and Scottish Terriers. They were originally used to hunt vermin especially rats and foxes. Ceskys are energetic and enjoy running and playingin a wooded areas or open countryside. They also like a long walk on a leash.
