About the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel This breed has four colors:Blenheim which is a rich chestnut on pearly white background, The Tricolor that is black and white with tan markings, Black and Tan like it sounds is black with tan markings and Ruby which is rich reddish-brown all over. The King Charles is a really affectionate dog and sometimes is called the ultimate lap dog. They do however require a great deal of human companionship and don't like being along for long periods. They are ususally extremely patient and eager to please. They are a good breed of dog for children and other dogs. The spaniels have, for centuries, been popular in the United Kingdom. Toy Spaniels became popular as pets, especially as pets of the royal family. Over time they have been replaced in popularity by short snouted dogs of asian descent like the Pug or Japanese Chin. Two breed clubs are found in the United States: the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club (CKCSC) USA and the American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club. The latter club is the breed club of the American Kennel Club. The breed can suffer from a few congenital defects which include: Mitral Valve Disease, Syringomyelia, Luxating patella, Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca. Advertise your site or business here..
