About the Cairn Terrier
This is a breed of dog in the terrier category. It is one of the oldest terriers whose origins start in the Scottish Highlands. They were used for hunting among the cairns.

The Cairn is intelligent, strong, loyal, and fearless. Like most terriers they can be stubborn and strong willed. They are excellent with children and make wonderful family dogs. They however, do not make good lap dogs. They want to do their own thing.

They are generally healthy but many have allergies.
